Siddheshwar Ghosh, aka Sidhu, has inherited a thriving hosiery business – Ghosh & Sons. However, Sidhu has no interest in family business. The Ghoshs have a history of failing exams and a tradition of marrying off their sons early so they can join the family business. Therefore, when Sidhu fails to secure pass marks in his Graduation, his father, Bireshwar, decids to arrange for a suitable bride and marry him off. Their family astrologer predicts that if Sidhu doesn’t get married by 23, he will turn into a monk. In desperation to escape his imminent fate, Sidhu runs away to a village called Narayanpur. What follows is a bizarre set of events in which Sidhu accidentally finds himself mistaken for a monk known as Felunath. Instead of disclosing his true identity, Sidhu plays along, using his charm and wit. He becomes popular in the village much to the chagrin of other eminent monks and astrologers who are soon losing their relevance thanks to Felunath! Sidhu subsequently starts teaching underprivileged students of the village. As a teacher, he meets and falls in love with Mishti, daughter of the most powerful person in Narayanpur. Sidhu now faces a true challenge regarding his identity and love.
